Wow, it's been a long time since my last post. I might be posting less since I have been working so much recently and struggle with the energy to take photos.
Anyhow, today I had the drive to bring my camera to the May Day celebration at Eli and Juniper's school. Here are a bunch of photos from the day:

Here is Lucas trying to sit on Juniper's lap while Eli gets ready to dance in the background. This is his first year dancing in the celebration - Juniper will have to wait 2 more years until she is in 4th grade.

In this one Lori put her hat on Lucas and he started posing so she took a photo.

Sandbox adventures
Posted on 2008.04.18 at 22:23I built Lucas a sandbox to play in while he is outside. I used to make them for Eli and Juniper and I thought they were too big, but today's adventures proved me wrong. They took it over immediately and made some kind of city with cars. This is Lucas crushing a building.
Here is Juniper setting up the car paths. You can see all of the dirt that I dug up for the sandbox hole in the background. It took a few days to get the sand (money is super tight right now - thanks mom!), but we finally filled it (mostly anyway). The funny thing is that in Lucas' mind, I took brown dirt out and filled it with more brown dirt-looking stuff. He spends most of his time trying to use a wooden spoon to take dirt from the pile and put it back in the sandbox, on top of the sand. It is almost too cute to stop him... but it did take a lot of work so we do try.

Happy Birthday Juniper!
Posted on 2008.04.15 at 20:56Juniper had a sleepover birthday party at Ben's this past weekend. This was the birthday brunch part of the party.
On Monday, the actual day that she turned 8, they built this ship in the yard out of fallen trees.
Over the weekend, Lucas loved playing with Eli and Juniper's stuff that is at Ben's. Soon it will all be passed down to him... I can't imagine where we will put it.

New car!
Posted on 2008.04.07 at 21:13We got our new Honda pilot today! It has a third row of seats in the back and fits my whole family comfortably! Here is Lucas enjoying the nice weather finally and wearing his cool cat playing the guitar shit. He tries to kiss the cat whenever he can see it.
Whenever Lucas is outside, he points and makes a bee line for the trampoline. Here he is practically running down the hill and giggling while he tries to get past me and closer to it.
Slide
Posted on 2008.04.03 at 21:10Ben dropped of Elias and Juniper's old slide and picnic table that they have totally outgrown (remember those, mom?). Lucas loves the slide but can't climb up the steps yet and always seems surprised when he goes down it. Once we put a sandbox in, he is going to have so much fun outside- he already begs to go out a few times a day and it's barely even in the 50s here yet.
Lucas pics
Posted on 2008.03.30 at 22:23In this one, he is trying to get my camera. He has this funny fluff of hair on the top of his head from his bath yesterday. Once his hair gets a bit longer, it should curl, but for now it gets fluffy on the top with some curls in the back. Elias has hair just like this when he was Lucas' age - we'll just have to see if it turns out the same.
In this photo, Lucas is trying to cook up his cell phone with some wooden veggies.

Sorry it's been so long since I have posted photos but work is keep me physically and mentally busy. Here are a few photos for now - I'll post more after work today.

Lucas loves popcorn.

Here he is trying to take it all for himself.

Ghosts and jumping
Posted on 2008.03.17 at 21:16Lucas tries to kiss the ghosts on his shirt.
The kids got a chance to go out and jump on the trampoline today. It is definitely getting a little closer to spring time. As much as I like winter and sheepskin boots, I will gladly welcome spring.

Happy St. Paddy's Day
Posted on 2008.03.17 at 19:20Funny baby
Posted on 2008.03.13 at 21:16This photo screams "I have a big sister". He loves pushing this thing around, stopping to inch around the side to pull the doll out, kiss it, put it back and then start pushing it again. The cutest part is that he makes the kissing sounds before he even stops pushing to say "I'm gonna kiss you doll!"
Right before this photo was taken, Lucas walked over to the area where all of our winter gear is and grabbed one of his and Steve's hat. He brought them over to me and I put one on him, and then the other (separately). Then, with the red hat in his hand and the black one on his head, he went into the studio to visit his papa. He came out looking like this... he thought it was hilarious.

Computer hacker... sort of
Posted on 2008.03.05 at 19:00
These are cell phone shots, so excuse the quality...

While I was reading a book to Juniper at the library today, Lucas found his way over to the kid computer and started using it.

Juniper thought it was super cute so she decided to go over and help him out. He of course didn't want her to touch the mouse, so she mostly just kept him from climbing up onto the computer keyboard.

Posted on 2008.02.29 at 19:32Steve met a new friend to talk shop with named Will (http://www.willschillinger.com/) - he gave Steve this airplane mobile for Lucas.
I think he said it used to hang in a studio that he worked in called pilot studios.
And here is Lucas taking a rest. He will often just lay down and rest for no reason when he is crawling around. The train in his hand is from Will too.
